When designing the Amesbury collection, I wanted to ensure the collection was feminine easy to wear and looks stunning.
The case is a feminine size 25 mm across with a beautifully proportioned mesh bracelet at 10 mm across.
The mesh bracelet is finished with our iconic metal top detail finishing the bracelet off beautifully.
Insert into the case back of every Amesbury collection, a piece of the natural stone used on the dial, is insert into the case back.
This is to ensure you are maximising the healing properties from the stone, and keeping the stone in touch with your skin at all times whilst wearing your watch.
To do this the caseback had to be made thicker, this could potentially have meant the watch was very thick and too heavy.
In order to keep this watch small feminine and delicate, a thin movement was used to reduce the depth of the case which meant we could still use a thicker case back to inset the stone.
As with all our watches, design and outlook is fundamental to the watches we make.
The dials of the Amesbury collection are all set with genuine natural stone.
This is created by making a thin slice of natural stone and fitting it onto a dial within the watch. The dial markers are then added to the dial afterwards.
We’ll be introducing the different Stones within the collection over the next few blogs. The first stone we will be introducing is the blue sand stone.
